NO Clemency for Tookie
Well, it looks like logic has prevailed on this one. ***I AM NOT MAKING A JUDGEMENT ON THE MORALITY OF THE DEATH PENALTY*** Gov. Arnie said what I have been saying all along: how can the man reform if he doesn't admit to having something to reform from? He wasn't on death row for starting a gang (at least according to the law)...
I am not saying he didn't have a life-changing experience in prison, it's just that he didn't go to prison for the life he claims to have reformed. He went to prison for killing.
Mr. Williams has always maintained his innocence of the four murders, and the governor said in a statement this afternoon that "without an apology and atonement for these senseless and brutal killings, there can be no redemption."
I am not saying he didn't have a life-changing experience in prison, it's just that he didn't go to prison for the life he claims to have reformed. He went to prison for killing.
...But... waitaminute...uhhh
And this is just bullshit. This is not Arnie's problem. This a legislature issue. This is a cultural issue. Arnie saw no evidence that brought the case into question. You want change? Bring it up with your Congressmen. And, also, good thing Arnie isn't governing in Austria... I mean they seem quite upset with an elected official that they have no sway over...that they did not elect...that does not serve them or represent them in terms of governance.
