Jean Schmidt, the Republican that beat out Paul Hackett in the special election last spring, hasn't learned the hierarchy of Capitol Hill yet; junior members have to keep their mouths shut. Although she did learn something from Hackett; she spoke her mind. This is new for a lot of politicans. The only problem happens to be that Rep. Murtha, who she implicitly labeled a coward, is a two-time war veteran and hero for this country. She chose to call Murtha the coward while supporting the side of Bush, Cheney, and all the other "heros" with multiple deferments and excuses for not serving their country.
